This scene makes me wonder. Considering how back in WW2 the Allied bombing campaign was basically going through the whole populated region of Japan and bombing it until they ran out of map grids to target, WW2 would've been one hell of a wake-up call to any hypothetical foxgirls watching human towns/villages from in the mountains.

Actually, does anyone know of a manga or anything where supernatural Japanese yokai or whatever see WW2 come to their front door? I remember some god awful anime with yokai kunoichi jumping up onto B-29 Superfortresses and cutting them in half for the opening scene (believe me, it was even more retarded to watch it than to hear about it), but that's not exactly what I'm asking about.
