I think fanTL and patreon has a somewhat bad history on legality and whatnot different with fan generated/doujin stuff, etc... I almost never see them using patreon... unless its for original content or something. there's a loophole to use there, sure, but better safe than sorry I guess?

Latest chapter of the healer one you just put out- (quote is not exact as i'm tired, and annoyed, but i think you get the jest of it) "Does that mean i don't have the right too" - it should be "doesn't that mean i have the right too?" Your translations are getting WORSE - ESPECIALLY when you mix up the meanings. Affirming a negative vs a positive.
If you're begging for money on all your scans AT LEAST translate them PROPERLY - especially when i can find basic english mistakes/context mistakes that are REALLY obviously wrong - and change the whole freaking story. Meaning - she has no right, vs actually having a right.
Don't take on more projects, if you can't do the ones you have properly - and "fellow reader" ..for someone saying you're a reader - yet - you miss something so simple.
Would she be saying she has no right, or that she has a right just like him - it means two SEPARATE THINGS - and can screw up the story.
You are doing better than some of the more horrible ones out there, but being less of a turd then those, is still a turd.
Learn some more english before you continue- because even if you're CLOSE - that doesn't mean it's CORRECT - and can COMPLETELY mess up a story.
And this should be a cardinal sin - when you're GETTING PAID and begging for money - and still do it wrong. You did not do what you were paid for. Fix it, and rerelease it.
I mean come on - if you can't tell the difference between a positive and a negative - or past and present..let alone keep genders consistent (which you have been on some of them that i remember).. any of those - is a major screw up which ruins the narrative/the story. And means YOU HAVEN'T DONE IT PROPERLY. "O i wanna show my appreciation and translate to a language i don't kno.." we, the readers, need to understand the story. There's no gold stickers here..ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE PAID FOR A SERVICE.
Do it right, and proof read your stuff. It's been far too many years of these simple screw ups, unnecessary screw ups. Make damn sure it's perfect next time, "Please and thanks" <- as civil as i'll be as, this slap in the face when you dare call yourself a "reader" yet - can't bother basic english - is insulting.
Not to mention insulting to not just me, as a reader, to the people who donate to your stupidity - AND MOST IMPORTANTLY -- to the manga artist(s) you butcher.
You're not one of the worst..but by no means should you get off scott free. Quit messing up stories for "speed" or "lazyness" or whatever your excuse is, because there are no excuses.
Do it right, or don't do it at all, after all, you're begging for money and being paid for it - so do it right, and don't be so freaking lazy.
After all - we DESERVE a PROPER translation, especially if it's a decent or better story..and again YOU'RE PAID TO DO IT RIGHT..so, do it right. <- that simple. Or don't do it at all.
Let me put it another way - Doesn't and does - if you cannot tell the difference between a double negative..nor HAVING SOMETHING and HAVING NOTHING ...the age ole shakespeare line, "to be or not to be" ...again...something or nothing...and how much that changes the story.
We, as readers - shouldn't be subjected to this, and the ONLY question, should be how poor it was on the author's side, NEVER how bad you translated it, nor how poor it was from YOUR CHANGE TO THE STORY vs - the original...because you were lazy, and can't tell the difference between having something, and having nothing. And quite frankly, after years of seeing this..and good stories ruined because of it (and "speedy" releases that you can't tell what's going on) it's getting REALLY annoying.
I will toss this out there, some have been enough, but, ALL translations should be buttery smooth, and never one that i have to figure out what's going on based on basic grammar/english...if the author writes poorly, or with a lot of wierd idioms (my love tiger) that's one thing.
But this is having something - and having nothing. I'll give you an example, you think you're translations are perfect, or rather, "Good enough" (they're not, and i feel sorry for whoever keeps funding this..ones like this) vs having nothing - no knowledge of english at all and seemingly guessing at stuff grade schoolers should know.
My knowledge isn't in question - i'm not doing the work, i'm calling you out on yours, that you "put out there" and again, were paid for.
Fix it, and go over them more before you put them out. If they're proper - REALLY proper - then noone will care if they're a day or two late (especially given some not being updated for months). Speed isn't necessary, being able to properly understand the story, ESPECIALLY at a moving moment - which is a good part of ANY story...IS.
ESPECIALLY one, where it implies she's got no right, to her own kid, which shows depression - vs b) the confidence and still trying to stand and fight to get her daughter back..it shows two completely different narratives. I think i've made my point, and before you or anyone else says this is misplaced from other horrible ones, enough's enough. It's been years, and i've seen your translations for quite a while. YOU should know better. especially WHEN YOU'RE PAID FOR IT. When you solicit donations, and do the level of basically a mcjob/a lazy teenager flipping burgers, that's on the level of being a scam artist. And pathetic.
Fix your scans. Your paid for it, have some dignity, and fix your mistakes, for "the rest of us fellow readers" ...so we can ACTUALLY READ IT.
