Well, part of that is the principle and his sidekick have segregated Leopin so most students and faculty don't see him doing amazing things and listen to the official statements of him being garbage. We saw earlier that some of the teachers see and are amazed by his abilities, as well as his growing stable of admiring ladies. The only others that know he is powerful are the ones beaten by him, and they won't be spreading news of that.

At the same time, we really need to see more students catching on, as he continues to prove his worth and the principle's cover ups get worse and worse. (Not to mention the lies and facade are gonna slip away fast now that only the two houses Leopin made still remain, and the rest of the class is doomed.)

At this point the I'm basically reading this series for its sheer stupidity. 😂 the extreme example for a gary stu character.
Only the main girls like him and know his true worth while being too soft to ever get everyone to accept it. The rest being too stupid and hell bent on proving he's the issue

There is a (dum) political reason: the 'special' class he was demoted to is regularly the negative kind of 'special': The idea being that the sponsors who watch the school activities can see them suffer and fail whilst their chosen ones succeed. Thus them acknowledging 'the special class guy is actually super elite and the real success story' is a real bad take for them.
