This confirms someone's speculation earlier: Prince Narcissist was brainwashed. And I was wrong about the black magic thing: it isn't the Crown Prince, it's someone in his following (suspicions about whom aside). Either way, he should be trying to get his subjects loyalty, not their (romantic) love. That, and he really needs to be more careful about who he trusts. Hopefully Julia can knock some sense into him before things go too far. (That remains to be seen.)

Ill admit, that in this timeline, the Crown prince has been pretty tame, still dont like him, but if the brainwashing lead to the evil prince in the first timeline, it would add up.
