You know, there's something about an older manga like this. It's refreshing because it's played so straight and they can get away with that. Nobody's genre aware, there's no irony and basically no comedy, the fourth wall is unbreakable, nobody's poking fun at the whole thing in any way. The fate of the world is at stake, the good guys are good, the bad guys are bad or in some cases perhaps conflicted, and they all have complete faith that their reality is real and important. It's hard to write like that now.

Vol4.Chap43 is missing several pages (which are in volume seven of the Kindle version; apparently there are different editions.)

Basically the maidservant touches the magic sword and it nukes her and the evil prince is like "lol whatever who cares she died out of love me I AM PRETTTTTTY." Idk, my Japanese is bad.
