She has to have passed the interview by pure cheerfulness.

Makes your hands hurts ... like anything if you do it a lot and your are not used to it, girl.

And that's why most companies have a probatory period. In the real world she would have never been employed in the first place, let alone survive the first week...

@mekrabbat

He was so gloomy that despite having all the necessary qualifications he failed dozens of interviews. Because of this, he was planning to commit suicide after doing the last interview, which happened to be at the company Elma worked for, and Elma was able to make him comfortable enough so that he was able to actually demonstrate his talents. Thanks to this, he was not only hired but he basically was able to keep living.

@Beregorn

Then again this company isn't normal at all- after all, it was founded by a magician. Not to mention that Elma was also able to get a job, likely without a interview, despite not knowing anything about technology.

So she's only there to snag the gloomy guy? Is there a term for that in Japan? Women who only go to college/work to find a man?

Damn, that Akaruya girl is just trash.

@GotGame
Pretty sure the company was founded by a Magician, Shouta's Father, but not everyone that work there are magicians.
Also the CEO does know about the dragons and Kobayashi and everything else acting like an administrator for the dimension, which is why he employed Elma.

To the CEO’s credit, Elma is hyperintelligent and once she learned how to do her job she became a huge asset to the company for her literally inhuman stamina and work ethic.

@TSHH

thanks for the chapter,

Typo on page 4(102): Take nots but...

and page 4(103) has missing words: "I don't Get! So there is helping it, now, is there?" -> I don't get it! So there's no helping it now, is there?

on page 7(105) you have: "..try to pass down your hindsights." I suggest the use of "insights" or "experience" instead of "hindsights". "Hindsight" has an element of regret that I don't think is in keeping with what kobayashi is trying to say (even though it may be an accurate translation).
