@abedeus it's more like
"these two factions keep killing each other in a devastating war, which is continuing to devastate entire countries and half the continent and ruin countless more lives, and none of them have shown any signs of stopping the conflict, I'm going to make them all kill each other in an enormous battle so they stop killing all the little people and also get revenge for my family"

If Kobayashi wasn't there to broker peace, the worlds would objectively be better off without the dragon war.

Except his motivation was purely selfish. Instead of trying to solve a problem, he just wanted revenge using the tension between the factions as fuel.

Such a loli-dragon withdrawal yet Kanna still keeping secrets from Saikawa.
@Abedeus Considering dragons were the problem from his point of view that exactly what he was doing there.

"including their friends, family and acquaintances that had no role in the conflict." Group responsibility right? Right guys!?

@MacMeaties the only dragons who had withdrawn from the conflict were those who literally had left to go to other worlds, just like Kanna and Tohru had. Or even just go off and join the spectator faction. Everyone on the harmony and chaos side was an active part of the conflict.

Even Kanna was tempted to hand over the dragon ball which would have further fueled the fires of war.

Remember. Dragons live for very long times. This is a war that's been going on for centuries and centuries of raw suffering and death spread across countless worlds. Has any dragon tried to stop the war? Put their lives on the line? Has anyone made a difference to the bloodshed, that's killing more and more innocent lives all over?

Anyone there HAS been supporting the conflict. And the conflict would have continued, if he hadn't stepped in. Kanna would still be pining in another world, Tohru and Kobayashi wouldn't have acted. The war and the deaths would have continued in a cold conflict over more generations. It's better that they - the very special protagonist and her dragon maid - intervened like this. But without someone willing to try something - ANYTHING -

-The senseless deaths of innocent people would have continued.

Nah actually fuck it. Can be bothered arguing. If people wanna rationalise genocide then go ahead.

Genocide is killing all the dragons!

This is just killing all the dragons currently involved in a multiple world conflict spanning generations, and doesn't even affect the spectator faction!

@MacMeaties lol just admit that you were wrong hahahaha.

The only "innocent" dragons in this whole thing were the ones too young to have been part of the war.

Can we just admit to how fucking fast Saikawa is? A blur on a single panel, and coming from a human elementary schooler.

Yet again, this fluffy slice of life manga can start a long discussion about the morality of it's characters. Very cool.

Hard to suggest a resolution that satisfies everyone, but without getting so deep into this, Kobayashi will protect her actual life no matter what and help her family with anything she can do.

I think people are forgetting that the spectator faction has more than Lucoa in it, plenty of other dragons are in it as well(or so the claimed early on) and when we start justifying revenge and genocide we have already lost reason. If were going to justify genocide because revenge we need to kill all humans because humans are the source of war and conflict in this world, and since some guy probably killed some vaguely related ancestor at some point in history I feel validated in my revenge on humanity and am therefore in the right.
