what a way to portray the transformation. it was stated before that the girls don't have a choice on what type of bug they are implanted with so seeing some sort of agreement prior to metamorphosis is interesting.

I don’t know. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by other manga, but this feels like something that deserved more in the composition department. Yeah she awakened, but does just seeing her awaken and suddenly stab a thing with her hand have the emotional weight and release that this scene could have had. It just feels like it could have had more. I’m still going to keep reading, but I just feel a little underwhelmed by this chapter.

this series feels a little unpolished in general, but the art is fantastic so I’ll keep reading.
