Can someone gladly explain what Happened to the story?

It's badly axed after getting the first colour.

Mhyeah. The idea seemed to be that the twin-sister is jealous and overprotective, so curses cute-heroine with colorblindness. Then she'd go through an arc for each of the other girls where she regains her colors and of course ultimately finds loooooooooooove. Because that's how these things go. But it became an all weird jumble with no progression (after the first color) and no conclusion.

Something went very wrong with this thing. No proper planning or something.

But thanks for the translation; it had some cute moments.

That's some cut right here. The fact that Aki was the Yellow and not Yuuga are not understantable and she doesn't even recover the red color is like the author was told to cut it short and don't even give a proper ending. No credits,no afterworld. The plot could've been better with an author who know how to write a good story. Wasted potential and rushed ending. Anyway thank @SquigglesJP and Nyandere for finish it. I can understand why you don't want to finish it but since you have done White Lily and Black Lily you can do a lot of things.

Edit : Was it state before that Yuuga was a boy ? I know we see him in the first chapter dress as a boy but i thought it was a girl cross dressing a boy and not the opposite.

Edit2 : OK reread it and it's was state in first chapter but to my defense, we never really see him in boy clothes after and we never really know why he start to do so , so i kinda forget it.

Eh? Is that it?

I guess it was axed or something?

A bit of a shame, but the writing was kind of meandering a bit and it was a bit of a dull read.

I think the story would’ve been really good if the story was a little more focused. It seems more like a stream on consciousness story, like if there was a little more editing it would’ve been really good.

What we got wasn’t bad, though. The abrupt ending is usually a sign that the publisher cut the story but maybe the author was on a time limit to begin with and couldn’t tell the story they wanted because of that. It would explain why it seemed so unfocused, they were given a deadline and didn’t have time to edit because of it.

I just want to point out to all those that keep saying the author sucks at plot and what not. When something is serialized, authors are under contract, and this also means that they HAVE to write up to a certain number of chapters, but when their series gets axed, for whatever reason, they get notified WAY before the last chapter is out, making it so they have to think a way to bring the series to an end in X amount of chapters. When the series is not meant to end in X amount of chapters, but rather X+Y amount... THIS is what happens.

After episode 18, so, from 19 onward everything started getting confusing. In 18 we got a sudden change in perspectives from focusing on Yuuga's situation after Setsuna got back to being friendly with Rena, to then pointing out the effects that change also had on Aki, and that is fine, because Aki was ultimately the "Main heroine" of this story. The problem lies in that, right after said chapter, in 19 the story starts going on tangents to find a way to make an excuse to put Aki in the spotlight, but the story itself was made so after Blue comes Yellow, so the author had to wing it and make up an excuse for Yellow to be on Misaki, which makes totally no sense and has no foreshadowing AT ALL.

Again, another potentially good manga falls to the lack of popularity, and that's the sad thing, think about it, if this had not been axed (which looks like happened somewhere around chapter 18-19) the story would've followed into Yuuga and His color being Yellow that was put into him by Misaki at SOME point (Foreshadowed in the 'Because I want to be #1' chapter) and then culminated in Red with Aki, a color that She herself already had in her, maybe because Misaki wanted her to start loving herself which she clearly didn't... and realized that Rena ultimately was the answer to that dilemma, even though she probably hates the fact that she herself is not the answer. There was prolly going to be a LOT of drama around that last part, because that was foreshadowed as all heck in the start, and it all went poof.

@Tromend I agree. It isn’t always the author’s fault that a good story ended up being wasted. Authors are at the mercy of the publisher if they’re under contract. Publishers get the final say in how a story ends.

There are a lot of examples of yuri manga just on this site that had really good stories that went nowhere or rushed to a conclusion because the publisher lost interest.

The ending is a little rough, it does not show the protagonist that she understands what true love is, nor that she finds all the colors she has lost but patience.

That... was really abrupt, in such a way that didn't make any sense. It's like what happened to KOTOR II, but so much worse.
