I know I'm late (like four years late) but I wanna type out my thoughts anyway (First comment and I don't feel like going back to the previous chapters, lol) (I did read Chapter 6 but this will just go up to Chapter 5)
Interest magic skill from the protagonist, and hijinx ensuing are entertaining so far, but his attitude towards Yui after she confessed to him is kind of moronic
Like, sure, with your magic you can't be too sure, and you're probably not thinking completely clearly right now, but the solution to telling if this is legit is kind of obvious
Like. .You rmagic tends to not last more than like 10 minutes (Just a guess based on prior chapters) so like. . . Tell Yui to hold off for a few minutes, maybe blindfold yourself, and after ten, maybe twenty minutes, ask her how she feels again.
Not to mention when you were practicing with Moeka you established you can tell when your magic activates by a feeling around your eyes, so that should already tell you you didn't cast charm on Yui
