Lmao, he may be an angry edgy turd, but I really, REALLY don't feel bad for her.

I don't feel bad for any character that is passive and gets upset when things don't go their way.

She's also pretty damn abusive. She full on busted his face up because she was upset.

She caused his ailment and she doesn't understand why he hates her? What the f*** is wrong with her?

Childhood friend thinks dude got a girlfriend, so she punches him in the face and runs off, then his sister says "don't talk to girls like that" when he gets mad at being PUNCHED IN THE FACE.

And the manga wants me to feel bad for HER.

This is some hot garbage.

Manga still has that usual one sided women advantage of violence. Here waiting for anon fighting manga that dishes violence and punishment for such violence for the women too.

Nah. Screw that. She was a kid who talked innocently about the weird shop his friend's parents owned. Not a bit of malice there.
And then Tamaki overreacts like a bitch, becomes a shut in and the whole time guilt trips her. He could have acted like a semi normal person instead of making life shittier for everybody else.

@goarachnidlaser you are not mentioning how the bitch violently abuses him every single chance she got annoyed? You're being disingenuous here.

Also, why didn't you use that same standard on the main character? He was a kid too. He was a kid that experiences events that traumatized him and altered his physical condition. You are being doubly disingenuous here by only using your standard on the girl character.

I have NO sympathy for her ... cry some more. Even if something negative is done in an innocent manner it does NOT excuse the trauma she inflicted on another child. I'm sure she NEVER thought that what she did had ANY effect on him but it did and now we are here. But at the same time he should have handled his own issues/trauma better. Cutting off/getting angry at the world and acting like a turd because of something that happened in your childhood shows just how immature he really is.

And yeah, females can perpetrate violence whenever they feel like it based on how the law interprets situations. The law can sometimes over compensate for the strength disparity between men and women. I would never hit a woman but if you start acting like a man and throwing punches all bets are off. Unfortunately, at that point I'm going to jail ... just because I'm a man and she's a woman. Moral of the story don't throw punches if you do not plan on accepting responsibility for that action.

What? A Yandere character resorting to cartoon violence? If I had to get angry at every rom com with that trope I would have to be fuming the whole time.

Also, why didn't you use that same standard on the main character? He was a kid too. He was a kid that experiences events that traumatized him and altered his physical condition. You are being doubly disingenuous here by only using your standard on the girl character.
Yes. He was a kid. A shitty kid, but his overreaction then makes it more excusable. Because kids are dumb.
He's an adult now. He has no excuses.

Really? Seems to me she's gone above and beyond in an attempt at remaining close to him, even reaching stalker-ish levels. Her attempts at approaching him just keep getting rejected.

@goarachnidlaser She clearly is just as shitty as he is. While yes, she is trying, but him not wanting to talk to her DOES NOT justify the way she reacts to it all the time. The fact that she always ends the conversation via physical assault makes her lose all standing she is trying to gain via conversation. She could literally just go "Oh well, next time." and walk away and a lot less people would have issues with her.

yeah her approaches keep getting rejected cause she's so goddamn quick to resort to violence lmao. she kicks this dude in the balls as hard as she can in the first chapter the second he wants nothing to do with her, gee, thats sure gonna make me want to talk to you the next time

the "its a cartoon and their exaggerating" excuse for her but telling him to just casually get over a trauma because he's an adult now is silly. the bottom line is she's violent and that makes it near impossible to feel bad for her.

It's a comedy manga. This is like getting angry at Akane for getting violent with Ranma. Sure, this level of violence would be assault and hospitalization for the victim in the real world, but come on, it's a silly comedy manga.

You need to re-read chapter 4, specifically the panel that says: "Since that day, I have been shunned by everyone."

Nah. Screw that. She was a kid who talked innocently about the weird shop his friend's parents owned. Not a bit of malice there.
He was a child too, and his trust had just been betrayed by a close friend. We're not talking about something trivial like "she stole my candy", but about something that completely annihilated his social life.
Getting over a childhood trauma is a real bitch, and it's obvious you've never had one.

And then Tamaki overreacts like a bitch, becomes a shut in and the whole time guilt trips her.
Sure, blame the victim.
[ol][*] He never became a shut in. Not interacting with people is not the same as never leaving your room or house.
[*] He went to a middle school and high school where nobody knew him. There's no way he could've possibly manipulated her into feeling any guilt.[/ol]

He could have acted like a semi normal person instead of making life shittier for everybody else.
And he did. He never interacted with anybody, so he never made life shittier for anyone.

Then he encounters her again in college, and what happens?
[ul][*] (Chapter 1) She deliberately triggers his rash. She may have done this to save his hide, but she had plenty of other options, such as: "I know this guy. He's allergic to women. Besides, I saw the molester; it's that other guy."
[*] She calls him "testicles" because he chooses to ignore her, even though she knows better than anyone why he dislikes her. She's no longer a child at this point, so "no malice" no longer applies.
[*] She tries to explain her actions from when she was a child, but we never once see her trying to apologize for what she did. There's no sign she even feels guilty in the first place. And then she even kicks him because he's not listening, instead of simply retreating and trying again some other day.
[*] (Chapter 7) She threatens him by grabbing his shirt, then triggers his rash for no real reason.
[*] (Chapter 9) She punches him in the face because announces he has a lover.[/ul]

Yes, Tamaki is being an asshole to her, but only when she approaches him. Not once has he tried to make her life shitty, like she's done for him (even if it was unintended).
Yes, Tamaki is never listening to her, but not once have we seen her trying to apologize. Instead, she keeps making things worse by acting violently and being cocky.

Maybe Tamaki is overreacting, but from what the author has shown us thus far, the fault is clearly hers. And she does absolutely nothing to try and resolve the problem, instead making everything worse using violence and abusing his condition.

There's plenty wrong with her, as far as anyone can tell.
