This is great, I'd wish this could be turned into a properly long manga to better play around with pacing. Maybe even flesh out the characters a bit more.

This is propaganda for loser behavior, my guy I was fine with 5 years. Honestly after every other single event past that you could’ve done at-least something for the person you “love”, cops, running away with her or SOMETHING. No I’m just gonna cry behind the wall while the girl l “love” gets bullied, not to mention this guy feel in love after non conversational interactions. There love just feels like a shitty plot tool, rather than organically built up feelings. The plot could’ve been tweaked somehow some other way, this is just ass. Art is emasculate though!!!

I think it's fine the way it is. It's because we don't know much about them that we can, huh, "accept" his sacrifice for her.

If it became a longer manga, we would see more about the boy's life. If it's a bad life, then its easier to go with the doom route, but that would be a boring story. If it was a good life, then it would be hard to justify removing oneself from the reincarnation cycle: is it really fair to consume all future incarnations to save a single incarnation? Or is only this incarnation that the girl has to suffer? Is it karmic retribution that the boy is trying to break?

It can become an interesting story, but I am not sure it would fit this manga genre. It would probably become something else.

I agree with Josh actually, he literally didn't even try helping her himself first, just straight up using the power every single time. I mean it aight if it for reviving her but damn bro try lifting your hand for once. it's like finding an essay is impossible without Ai for some people

Josh's comment is part of why I would like a longer manga.

Yeah, aside from reviving her, seems like all the other wishes before he said fuck it could've been handled differently.

Thanks for the oneshot.

There are times when we are unable to do something and again times where we can. I don't know what this story wants to show exactly, "romantic selfless" sacrifice or the stupidity of it all (though looking at how they end this in a positive note I think the former).
A lot of posts before me are right in my opinion and already said mostly everything that had to be said. This feels like it's tragic just for the sake of it.

Wow, looking at these comments... I'm happy and at the same time sorry:notlikethis: These takes are very interesting and it shows me just how the story was able to have an effect on people, and I'm very happy you guys had your own perspectives the way ypu did:wooow: (At the same time I'm sorry you guys had to go through what I went through as I was scanlating this:fml:)

Thanks for reading guys! These types of interactions are definitely what pushes me to keep doing this even through all the schoolworks (lmao).

As for my take, I personally agree that the boy should have tried to help her on his own at first, but since it is a oneshot and we don't really know his history/experiences so far, we can't really all put it on him, since looking at it they're pretty much still in middle school, and realistically speaking (not counting all the current tropes in romance with the dependable MC right from the get-go) not all middle school kids really know what they're doing yet. Hence why I think it's a good oneshot the way it is, we can see him becoming such a reluctant mess all the way to a self-sacrificing hero in the span of a couple pages, whether that's good or bad in it's own right.

This really would've been a nice, long-form manga, so we can flesh them out as individuals first, maybe even see how each wish actually affect those that are "wished for," maybe even expound on the later interactions before Yuuki ran out of lifespans. But since it is a one shot, I, for one think that it is great the way it is...

I really, really enjoy these kinds of discussions and interactions, so keep them coming! :D

Well that was just... bad.

Especially the final trade. Why would I care about some future hypothetical reincarnated life I won't be the one experiencing?
It depends on what you believe will happen in-between incarnations. If you believe nothing happens, you just jump from one into another, then I guess it doesn't matter. If you believe you are sent to another dimension to suffer learn how to be a better person, then you might want to reconsider it. After all, if monsters that grant wishes in exchange of life span exists, then some sort of hell might exist as well.
