Having studied a great deal of premodern Japanese literature, I can tell you that some man on man action would've been no obstacle...

That aside, though, it's really fun seeing the author include historical characters I'm familiar with. I just finished the Tale of the Heike (where all the Minamotos and Tairas are), so seeing this was fun!
