I.... Have literally never liked play arcs. Always felt stagnant. Kinda boring. Like in bloom into you, I enjoyed how the characters used the play as a way to make Nanami see how she didn't need to pressure herself and become just like her sister (At least I think that's what it was I haven't read it in a while) But I didn't like the play itself. At all. Especially not the preparation for the play. Love what it did for the characters, the way they did it was smart, but it was boring nonetheless. I think this is the only play arc in media I remember now that I think about it.

Hopefully this play is better..
