It seems like a interesting plot, but it falls for some details, first of all, how was the teacher able to track love eaters whereabouts but not their identity? This is not a spy story where he could get info of movements of a enemy country.

Interesting premise if I have to say. I know you should turn your brain off when you read this but how is it that there are previous victims yet no one has killed them let alone capture one of these love-eaters? Anyways this has a follow from me so thanks for the translations.

The whole love eating is just the profesor having been heart broken...at least one of them is a childhood friend.

Its just a whole metaphore of falling in love for someone that really doesnt care that much back.

Honestlyi'm pretty sure this won't be supernatural and the biology teacher is just exagerating things, the manga is actually an analogy about how there are girls who simply wanna crush others and how people can be hurt so bad they are afraid of love

I definitely think that's the analogy the author was going for, but I still expect the story to be supernatural.

It's an interesting inversion of the usual formula. Instead of all the girls genuinely loving him and the manga being about who he chooses, only one does and the manga is about guessing who it is, which takes away the main thing that people don't like about harems: losing heroines. Will follow.

That would really make for an interesting plot, but I think you overestimate the creative freedom mangakas have.
No editor would ever let fly an harem where the heroines aren't in love with the MC by the end of the story.
And frakly them being evil at first and then being changed by love gives them a lot of points, so if anything the main heroine is the one who'll need to do a lot of legwork to catch up.

Yeah, i made my comment when there was only one chapter and the manga hadn't fully stablished its tone yet. Now it is obvious it will develop in a usual harem romcom way. Still following since the plot at least is not as cookie cutter as usual and the girls have varied designs.

Interesting concept with botched delivery. The dude isn’t so much afraid of women as he is just an incel, and the entire premise is delivered via a plothole-ridden monologue.

That said… Kabu is hawt so I read.

This seems like a really obvious case of "First Girl Wins." She's the only one that didn't make her first interaction just "pls date me" and she's the only one that he actually saw shaking or trembling or seeming physically nervous at all. The rest can easily be a sort of Mandela Effect— He saw one person shake, though "Oh, yeah, this is how it should be" and assumed "The others must have been like this too." All subconsciously, of course.

But also wouldn't it be really easy to deduce this? The monsters presumably aren't really humans, so he can just do a background check on all of them. Talk to their friends from middle school or their parents or whatever. And even if they've gotten all that down, he can just ask them "Why did you fall in love with me?" He must have known them and done something in the past, because people don't just fall in love and confess that quickly. He can just keep asking questions until it's clear which ones are making stuff up and which one's being honest.
