Realest sibling behavior I've ever seen in a manga. Also damn Ayano, wasting phone battery just to have his photo up like that XD
In all seriousness, should accept her feelings but reject the commitment. She's not legal and he still feels like a father to her, that's not shippable.
When I look at them, all I see is the perfect couple. Fumi might not even realize it himself yet, but he is slowly being drawn to Ayano romantically. Like in chapter 17, when he says, "I'm sorry, Shiraki-san," while one of his feet is standing on the dark side (implying he has already crossed the line). And later in the woods in that same chapter, he loses his composure and grabs her hand when she mentions a guy. He gets nervous and starts muttering that this isn't forbidden by work, completely contradicting himself! Then, in chapter 20, when she wraps him in sakura petals with her beautiful hands as if healing him, he takes one of those very petals and carries it around in his badge, constantly thinking of her. And it was so funny when she snatched that exact petal out of his pocket during the elevator scene, where he's sweating bullets and confesses that he doesn't want to let her go either, saying that she is the one who needs to talk to management so nobody replaces him as her manager.Later, after the party, he comes home exhausted, but just the memory of needing to reply to her letter is enough to make him get up and start writing. He takes it so seriously that he even asked for more time to reply. Furthermore, we see that he continues to wear the badge with the petal on his chest in chapter 40.Even though she already found it and her feelings seem obvious, he continues to close himself off and won't admit it. And in this chapter, he breaks down in anxiety again over the fact that he might get fired. But it’s obvious he doesn't care about the job itself—he is terrified of losing her!His main issue is that he feels unworthy. He thinks a successful, beautiful 18-year-old actress is way too good for a 33-year-old manager. We see this in chapter 20 during his internal monologue, where he tries to convince himself that this won't turn into romance—though if that were true, he wouldn't be saying like this "In 5 years, you'll be completely out of my reach."Honestly, I don't know how carelessly someone has to read this manga to not see that his feelings are developing into romance!
