About the "misinterprets kansuhei (circumhorizon) as kan (can) and suhei (horizontal)" is clearly a typo, since you managed to get it right in the speech bubble.

It's more like she gets "kansuhei (circumhorizon) as kan (can) and suihei (sailor)"

Suzu is in the entirety of the first-year barbecue. She's still there when Ao and Mira has a very shippy moment when they are stargazing (and detects it).

I have to say, when I first saw Nana in the anime, I'm not quite into her, but she kind of grows in me (not to Ao's level, absolutely not) since she turns out to be so much of a dork.
