I remember how this series really split the readers into considering if it's gay or not. Now all I see is people just rooting for them. Just goes to show if you know how to tell a good story, execute a beautiful scene, make some character development, it changes their thoughts about it. I imagine the internet will blow up if it ever gets an anime adapted.
