This was a damn speedrun of an intro chapter. Don't see him dying and coming to this world, just BOOM he's almost dead, then woosh here is some character, then 2 more right away, to suddenly we're redoing the power structure of the world by introducing gunpowder. If chapter 2 keeps up this pace this manga will end by chapter 4.

I think this was about a dozen chapters, and several months of in universe time, in whatever version of the novel I read years ago. From what I remember, it wasn't until long after they started selling actual bombs, and making guns, that people finally admitted that Lyle might not be a guy even.

Wrongness of anatomy is beyond average. Somehow it feels that author used one of the old school textbooks for artists but could not grasp idea of how human body actually works.
The anatomy for sure is goofy but i think it looks good, fast pacing, still pretty interested in this one, looking forward to more

Summat curious as to how this’ll go. And what a coincidence that MC knows how to make gunpowder and soap. Is he a chemistry nut/student?

Literally came to the comments to say this. Something felt WAY off about the anatomy and poses. Like he tried to study using those wooden dolls in art class but didn't quite get it when it came to drawing in practice.

Whatever the case, this has uncensored tiddy, so I guess I'm staying for now.

People in isekai have perfect memory of any documentary or book they might have read before depending on plot convenience.
Either that, or their knowledge is very broad but shallow.

Meanwhile me and my treasure trove of mostly-impractical trivia. Did you know that the British invented the Boiling Vessel (BV) because in WW2 their tankers keep on getting out of their tanks to brew tea? It made them more vulnerable and not ready to get into action when attacked. Also, you’re lighting up a campfire, which isn’t the most stealthy move out there. Having a glorified electric kettle inside the tank solves all that, AND you now have a tub of hot water to boil your ration cans/pouches to heat them up for a warm meal! The BV’s even got a tap to pour out the hot water for the tea.

Another more worthless trivia: Head & Shoulders never sell refill pouches in Indonesia, despite all their bottles being refillable like other brands. That always tick me off, and is strangely eco-unfriendly given the current times and trends for more eco-friendliness, especially from a multinational megacorp brand owned by a multinational megacorp (Proctor & Gamble)

Iirc, in the web novel, the MC has seen the process of making soap before the transfer and the mixing for the niter was made by lyle.
since Lyle is an alchemist and already knows gunpowder exists from the book she read.

The biggest problem I have with this kind of stuff is that it's easy enough to remember the ingredients for stuff like soap, and you might know what gunpowder is made of, but the actual ratios are going to be such a bitch to figure out, especially when you aren't able to figure out the purity of the materials you're working with. Like even a trained chemist is going to have trouble given the setting and lack of proper instruments.

Compared to "Ban!'s" artstyle used for the LN, this artist is a massive downgrade and diving headfirst into the uncanny valley
