Glad I wasn't the only one very confused about what was going on.Pacing for this first chapter is wack. Good concept, but feels so rushed and inorganic.
It went from being nearly mauled by wolves to going into the sauna to making gunpowder. There's like multiple major plotpoints being speedran into one 30-page chapter.Glad I wasn't the only one very confused about what was going on.
I think this was about a dozen chapters, and several months of in universe time, in whatever version of the novel I read years ago. From what I remember, it wasn't until long after they started selling actual bombs, and making guns, that people finally admitted that Lyle might not be a guy even. This was a damn speedrun of an intro chapter. Don't see him dying and coming to this world, just BOOM he's almost dead, then woosh here is some character, then 2 more right away, to suddenly we're redoing the power structure of the world by introducing gunpowder. If chapter 2 keeps up this pace this manga will end by chapter 4.
The anatomy for sure is goofy but i think it looks good, fast pacing, still pretty interested in this one, looking forward to moreWrongness of anatomy is beyond average. Somehow it feels that author used one of the old school textbooks for artists but could not grasp idea of how human body actually works.
Literally came to the comments to say this. Something felt WAY off about the anatomy and poses. Like he tried to study using those wooden dolls in art class but didn't quite get it when it came to drawing in practice.Wrongness of anatomy is beyond average. Or getting ran over by a bullet train.Pacing as if you were going to miss a train.
People in isekai have perfect memory of any documentary or book they might have read before depending on plot convenience.Summat curious as to how this’ll go. And what a coincidence that MC knows how to make gunpowder and soap. Is he a chemistry nut/student?
Either that, or their knowledge is very broad but shallow.People in isekai have perfect memory of any documentary or book they might have read before depending on plot convenience.
Iirc, in the web novel, the MC has seen the process of making soap before the transfer and the mixing for the niter was made by lyle.Summat curious as to how this’ll go. And what a coincidence that MC knows how to make gunpowder and soap. Is he a chemistry nut/student?
The biggest problem I have with this kind of stuff is that it's easy enough to remember the ingredients for stuff like soap, and you might know what gunpowder is made of, but the actual ratios are going to be such a bitch to figure out, especially when you aren't able to figure out the purity of the materials you're working with. Like even a trained chemist is going to have trouble given the setting and lack of proper instruments.People in isekai have perfect memory of any documentary or book they might have read before depending on plot convenience.
Compared to "Ban!'s" artstyle used for the LN, this artist is a massive downgrade and diving headfirst into the uncanny valleyLiterally came to the comments to say this. Whatever the case, this has uncensored tiddy, so I guess I'm staying for now.
