This manga sadly fails quitee hard because it completely fucks up one of the two characters.

While the male mc nails the kind of a scoundrel but likeable aspect, the female mc is just straight up a cunt who I hope dies.

I love how the story even tries to make them equivalent by showing both of them realising how experienced the other is.

You CANNOT equivalent his and her past. His is a tragic one. Hers is a bit tragic in a way but in many others way it is also not, she IS exactly the kind of demon people think her off as.

They're both the exact same. If Koharu was as evil as you imagine Rokusute would already be dead. He constantly broke her rules but she made constant excuses to herself not to kill him because shes fond of him.

I think the human hate came from when she died while seeking to avenge her family. I think all the yokai in her village are vengeful spirits(which is why they gotta eat people to keep existing.) I don't think human hate was groomed into her, it's just a byproduct of her being what she is. But! I do think the psychopath groomed her to hunt in fucked up ways for his own amusement.

I agree with you. Both their stories mostly lack agency for similar reasons.

She hated humans sure, she probably would have killed them if she could but the grooming I meant is how she became a killer and her mentality of my future is just killing humans and nothing else was groomed into her. After all she did desire to have a family and it was all torn to shreds to her.

it's because the translator got real heady with an overblown ego and wanted people to pay him like $100 to read the chapters, understandably he got ridiculed because all that achieved his nuking his credibility as a translator.

he essentially threatened to withhold the chapters if no one paid, and everything in the situation was a bannable offense, so they got banned.

basically, dude got greedy, broke the rules, and got nuked. go read the comments on chapter 27 for the whole shebang

Thanks for the explanation. Hopefully someone pick this up, I believe there was not much left to go towards the ending?
Anyways it would suck to leave it unfinished, I quite enjoy this one.

After everything she's seen and what he's said, Idk why she thinks he should go back to the human world. She's been treating him better than he's been treated his whole life.

This manga kind of feels like a genderflipped Firefly Wedding tbh (not a criticism btw). It's very dark and domestic at the same time, I feel extremely sad for them both for the terrible things they went through due to the evil of other people. I hope she realizes soon that it's okay for them to be together out of love instead of usefulness. I would also hope for maybe a more healthy relationship between them but that's prob asking too much lmao

The last bunch of chapters were uploaded by the same guy that uploaded them previously and got banned originally.

The first time he put them up and then threatened to not release the last batch unless people paid him. That's against the Mangadex rules so he got banned/nuked.

Then he came back with a different account (but was still obviously teh same guy because he posted using his old name on the forum threads about those chapters) and uploaded again, getting slightly farther before threatening to withhold the final few chapters unless people pushed another site that isn't Mangadex to put up a series page for another title he wanted to work on. I imagine the ban evasion couple again with a bunch of drama where he tried to extort people using unposted chapters (whether for money or other stuff) got him banned again this time.

Basically dude just had to post the rest of the series and take his kudos and goodwill, but he got greedy and it cost him. And us it turns out. I blame nobody but him for being a dumbass about this whole situation. Twice.
