@myshi: Communication disorder is an actual term in psychiatry, you know. And going by the Wikipedia article, Komi does exhibit signs of at least two different forms of said disorder. Social anxiety may indeed be a factor, but it may very well be only one out of many.

BUT, she doesn't fit the diagnostic criteria for it. she does, however, fit the diagnostic criteria for social anxiety as defined in DSM-5 notice how in SCD it says "all of the following" unlike in social anxiety, where it only says the symptoms must persist for 6 or more months.
