Wasn't MC also a bit confused about his gender initially? Haven't seen the LN yet but the descriptor for him probably goes with something like "a beautiful looking young person" and the artist of the manga tried to do that but also incorporating masculine feature as a reminder that he's a boy.
If they're afraid of feeling like a pedo(which is a problem I've only seen from people on twitter) why not just go with Eveam?
Now I imagine their anthem will be: Kill God the only thing I ask of you is to hold her when I'm not around when I'm much too far away~

Self-insert and/or desire to see love interests in the obligatory hot spring/bath/<insert rule of lewd situation here>.
I miss her even though I often forget about her. I usually only remember whenever Muir is getting screen time. But I'm really interested in how she looks now. Muir has grown pretty well, not enough to get out of loli range but she's no longer "the small kid" (think she's around Red Loli's height now if not a bit taller). So Wi who was Muir's current height and pretty big in a certain area back then, she's probably on par with the Red Loli's Maid (Damnit Hiiro's habit rubbing off on me, need to relearn names)
There's certain situations where I question the readers on who they self-insert themselves into... this is one of those situations, Hiiro is so abrasive that it's kinda difficult to justify self-inserting to him even as a lolicon(considering he's a loli magnet).
Don't underestimate people's ability to self-insert. They can and will totally delete the MC's actual personality for the purpose of it. Can't say I understand since I consume all media in a 3rd person sense, even the ones designed for self-inserting.
It was "little Girl Killer" in ch 45. But I distinctly remember it being upgraded later in the WN. I think it was
Remember Hiiro is surrounded by a lot of lolis and the kid isn't tall, his voice probably hasn't deepened and he is cute on top of that.
