Can we get a tragedy tag for this already? Yeesh. And i cant help but notice, she keeps telling him to die, not unalive himself. That seems so much less malevolent. "Come with me the only way you can."

And don't think i didn't see the name drop there. "Our villages legend." I think it is safe to assume that is what is clinging to the girls soul.

I appreciate how the Dad at least wasn't a total terrible person? Like, from this, we know he was a police officer, and he got kicked off because of his drinking; we see, too, how he drinks and regrets who he is when he is in his moment of sobriety.

I mean, from all this—being optimistic—we can assume it was maybe some of the terrible things he saw while as a police officer that made him fall apart 🙁 So, it was in the pursuit of something noble that he found himself in spiraling tragedy.
