Because we do not consider it garbage. It's gonna be angsty, it's gonna be dramatic, the dude is gonna seem annoying to everyone reading even though if you think about it he probably didn't actually do anything wrong, and we're gonna love it.

We're gonna read it, and despise every character for the dumb decisions they make, and then be happy in the end because the lesbians stopped being useless. And we'll love it.

And you don't have to love it. And that's okay. Just like I run far, far away if I see a harem tag, you can ignore everything that you feel like you wouldn't like.

If anyone is reading this for the first time and is wondering:

Fuyuki and Eri do get together in the penultimate chapter. That is their wedding.

As for the deal with Kyou:

Eri‘s previous relationships fell apart because she’d always prioritise Fuyuki, her childhood friend, over her boyfriends. She was actually considering giving up dating, but Kyou claimed to understand how important their bond is and convinced her (and himself) that he could handle never being her number 1. Saying it and actually living up to your words are two different things though. Still, they obviously reconciled since that’s him going to their wedding.
