Wasn't that aimed at the mother though? The "kid" was directed at him.
Though I guess there is some wiggle room with the multiple times they said human female and "female...kid" which could be either directed at the mother(female) than the hero(kid) or just the hero(female kid).
Though I find it unlikely.

I believe they're changing the raws publishing to biweekly, 15 pages full chapter compared to a split into two 10 pages chapter is somewhat better; but that's just me lol

Tbf theres a number of shoujo series featuring cross dressing protagonists though.
Unless you mean the possible ship stuff but thats also not unheard of either/might not be a ship.
Also it is kinda funny that thinking about it Tsubasa is a unisex name as well lol.

Well, fantasy trope usually have Saintess (聖 holy 女 woman) as the heroine
And if you're drunk enough the kanji for woman would look sorta like a sword on a stand.
