I'm just as confused as you two... A mistranslation shouldn't be possible, both words are completely different in Japanese and don't share a single kanji or pronounciation... Hope this is not a case of Alzheimer's for the mangaka...

On a side note, how about making Sensei the heroine and forgetting about the other girls?
I already like her more than the others.
Characters like her never win anyway, so it'd be a fresh twist...

I checked the raws. There was no mistranslation, at least not in the way we're thinking. In chapter 2, Mizuki says she is a novice actress and wants to challenge herself. Except she never says she wants to become a serious actress. In Japanese it's left completely vague in what way she wants to challenge herself.

Fast forward to the current chapter. In the raws, the expression used is 脚本 which means "screenplay". "Scripwriter" is written as 脚本家 which is not the expression used in the raws (the final kanji, 家, is missing). What Kurose should actually be thinking is something like "Didn't she say wanted to do screenplay?" <- This doesn't necessarily contradict her wanting to be a scriptwriter, it could just be that Kurose is talking about her dream in general terms, like "She wanted to do something with screenplay", which can still include scriptwriting. <- Yeah, ignore most of this. I didn't know "screenplay" is a word referring specifically to the script in filming. So her wanting to be a scriptwriter is correct.

Now here comes the problem: She never said that, either. Between chapter 2 and chapter 14 there was not a single instance where Mizuki told him what she wanted to do in the future. So it still comes out of nowhere. <- It doesn't come out of nowhere, you were supposed to read between the lines in chapter 2 and Kurose mentions it explicitly in chapter 3 in the raws (the translation in both of those chapters was wrong, though).

There is only one indicator that she wants to do scriptwriting in chapter 2. The book she drops in chapter 2 has had its title removed in the translation. In the raws, the title of the book was 脚本の書き方講座 which translates to "scriptwriting course".
His line "I never knew... that to become an actress... was actually her own dream..." in chapter 2 is a mistranslation and should be "I didn't know Mizuki had such a dream."

Likewise, Mizuki's line about wanting to become a serious actress in chapter 2 is not only a mistranslation, it's complete fabrication, as it doesn't even exist in the raws. Don't know what the last scanlation group was smoking, but the current group is doing way better and translating faithfully.

Not right now, maybe if we find another TS who wants to help with that, but with the current staff it might be a bit much redoing older chapter. I could go through ch.1-6 and make a list with all important wrong translations until one of the next chapters depending on how much it ends up being. (they most likely had more than just that in ch.2/3 and Miu's introduction in ch.1)
