Dammit, they only offer the first 48 or so chapters for free right now (it looks like the first dozen or so are permanently free, the rest of them are only free until the end of April) and everything else is either pay-to-unlock or uses some sort of point system that they don't really seem to explain except that they have a promotion to get points for leaving reviews until the end of this month. Only you get just 10 points for a review of a series (not chapter) to a maximum of 500 points (50 reviews, which would honestly be kinda nuts to do since they are apparently checking for cheaty reviews that are overly brief or repetitive) and chapters of this require 89 points to unlock a chapter. So... quick math is that even if you could post 50 reviews and get the maximum benefit you'd only get maybe 6 added chapters to read, and reading everything in between where this TL is stopping and where mangaplaza has uploaded to would require almost 3000 points. And by money it's 89 cents US to read each chapter, so close to $30 to catch up.
I was hoping that this would be one of those "you can read all the fresh releases right now and then after that you could only read the most recent chapter or two without paying" setups like KManga and Viz and MangaUp have done. Instead the batch release seems designed to catch people in the trap of being unable to continue on with a series they may have been reading on a pirate site like MD.
EDIT: and just to make it sillier, I got a "your device is not supported" message that lets me look at what their requirements are (lol at a manga website having system requirements) and apparently they're only designed to function on Safari or Chrome as a browser. Imagine optimizing for just one browser per system type in 2026...
