I just realized as I was re-reading: she calls the cat "Tibbles" here, but in previous chapters its name was "Nyanmaru." It'd be nice if this were a reference to T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats ("The Naming of Cats"), but I somehow doubt it.
