More wordplay! In Japan, fall is often called 食欲の秋 ("shokuyoku no aki" - autumn of appetite), but this is only a couple vowels away from 色欲の秋 ("shikiyoku no aki" - autumn of lust)
Also this may be the first time I've seen people carve jack-o'-lanterns in a manga. Pretty neat to see! When I was a kid, my family briefly hosted a pair of Japanese exchange students, and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy their first times carving pumpkins. Pretty fucked up of them to be better at it than I was though smh
