Bad news
1. The LN got axed, released 2 books, and no news ever since.
WHY? Because the LN sanitized the shit out of the dark plot of the story.
I'll just spill it here:
IN the WEB NOVEL the influencer guy's goal was to drug the 4 of them, have his(and friends) way with the 3 main heroines and have MC be the fall guy, record it all for his private collection (he has done this before several times) and had the main girls blackmailing to shut up and do his bidding afterwards.
MC isn't fuly drugged so he stabs himself to make the pain force an adrenaline rush, KOs the ring leader, stops the girls before they drink the drugs in a different room, fends off the door keeper as he's got jujitsu experience and report the incident to the police, MC was genre savvy and faked falling sleep before the actual drugs took effect which is how influencer started bragging off his confession recorded by MC.
Influencer's father settled it out of the courts with money, his son and friends still got expelled and the incident buried with the power of money, MC felt unsatisfied but THIS was the very core reason why the girls fell so hard with MC.
Becauase the LN sanitized this the author rewrote 90% of the plot according to him on Kakuyomu.
Which it means it effectively took away the very reason why they fell hard for Kei.
So what do we got instead? Shitty generic romcom in the LN.
Readers didn't bother and the LN got a soft cancellation.
Author threw hints around in the kakoyomu website.
2. The manga adaptation is taking a different route, it is apparently following the WEB NOVEL version so this might turn to be far better .
