This would get cancelled faster than Redo of Healer if it ever got animated!
Unlike redo of healer, this actually have more substance, it's not a one trick ponies when the world is actually structured.
The politics in this world actually make sense and revolves around the thing explained in this chapter. Meritocracy is not a thing in this world and it's all about whether you're a full noble-half noble or commoner.
Full noble are put in such responsibility that they have to enact Noblesse Oblige as the "superior race" and here they are taken literally as they all are able to use magic, immune to sickness and have higher physical limits. Their bodies are literally a bundle of mana, and it's known that only another noble can kill a noble.
Half noble are what they are, children of nobles and commoner, they can use magic, but not exceptionally so, they are rare enough that being one will make you have an easy life. People want you everywhere.
Commoner can't use magic at all, the 99% of the masses.
Thus the Cat-Mouse-Ants comparison.
The story is about Wilk's Exploits (both in bed and war) and how he slowly introduce the value of commoners' strength in numbers into this world.
I like this about the same as Road to Kingdom.
