Not a bad start. So the girlfriend also reincarnates soon after.

But, obvious machine translation + broken ESL grammar? I thought at least machine translation would still have proper grammar.

Thanks for the chapter! It's a great start. I really appreciate that you introduce this story here for us. The plot seems very interesting. Keep it up :D

What's wrong with ESL. Many ESL speakers have perfect English and even become better writers than native speakers without proper education. I guess this is a way to practice English. Practice make perfect so I hope they keep it up.

Some languages such as Japanese or Chinese have very bad machine translation, way worse than this.

Nothing's wrong with ESL. I'm not dissing ESL speakers since I am one myself. The problem here is that the translation is blatantly bad it deserves criticism, and rightfully so. Even Google Translate can produce translations with proper grammars, so this is either a very rushed job with little care put in, or the translator translated it himself. Seems to be the latter case, and if it's so, both his Japanese and English fluency are not at a level where he should be translating. Or just double check his translation with GT or DeepL. I don't think he bothered.

Practice makes perfect. OK. Understand the basics first before you practice.

I don't agree with the way you forbid people to do what they want to improve if their skills is not adequate. This is a free platform and everyone has the right to post and everyone can read for free. Where do you draw a line between who have the level to translate or not. Of course everyone have the right to comment anything here. But harsh comments like this discouraged the person who post and people who enjoy their work like me ended up affected by you. That's why I want to stand up for once. It happened a lot, mean people keep criticizing to show that they have better language skills or something. Lots of people who actually don't mind this but don't even bother to speak up.

This translation doesn't do any harm to anyone. If you don't like it, don't read it until some other group with better translation take over, or wait for the official translation. Don't ruin other people's joy. Imagine spending time working on something for free for other people and got trash like this. This is not constructive criticism, this is just you being mean.

I'll keep in mind, thanks for the tip

I don't have the authority to literally forbid anyone on the internet to not do anything. You are free to do and upload whatever the hell you want, and I am free to judge the value of your work as I see fit. Whether you and the uploader feel discouraged or take this as criticism is up to you. If you enjoy it, cool. I don't see how my review should affect your enjoyment in any way.

It's already 2023. The excuse of "I do something for free so suck it up no matter how bad it is" doesn't fly anymore. I can cook you soggy instant noodle for free, doesn't mean you are obligated to be grateful to me. He wants to get better? Did he bother to read tips for beginners before he started? Did he bother asking anyone at all to check his work? The answer is a resounding no to all of those. No one expects professional level work. But this is obviously lacking care and effort. Of course, it won't be showered with praises.

At this point, it is very clear to me that you completely lack the mental capacity to take criticism, either because you aren't matured enough or have been coddled and spoiled for so long. If something you create sucks, and people tell you so, and not even in any hostile way, take the feedback and get better. I'm not being harsh or mean. I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just not spoiling you.

Ok I reread it and the nit picky things I can find which my brain auto corrected is that "very bad" in the first few pages can be replaced as a profanity like "crap" or something more tame which gets the the job done, oh and sentences can connect a tiny bit better by adding a few pronouns, better adjectives and etc but to a fluent english reader, your brain will auto correct all of this it's kinda how your brain can't pick up on the second the i put in "the job"

Typesetting is when you are tasked to make the text given to you readable and arranged/spaced neatly. For example:
They said
I would
regain
my memo
-ries
to a cer
-tain
extent.
They said
I would
regain my
memories
to a
certain
extent.
They are also in charge of font size, style, margins and more. So do try to avoid using too much hyphen (-) as it makes it harder to read. Maybe shrink the size of your font.

Overall ok just a mistake you make all the time :
  • use a before a consonant, a tree.
  • & an before a vowels ( H+ vowels too ), an objet.

I am not native english, but most of the time if it sound like shit then it's probably wrong.

"I believed that westerners became 20+ years old in no time"
They turn 20 in 20 years, same as everything else in the universe. Did the raws really say something that stupid?
外国人って20歳越えるとあっという間に老け込むイメージがあったがお母様お美しすぎる
I've always had an impression that foreigners start looking old very fast after they age past 20, but my mother is impossibly beautiful still.
