awesome chapter. this shows a lot more courage and willingness to put himself out there, to annouce his confession in front of all his friends, rather than do it when they're all alone. its great for his character arc that it happened this way. i also cannot wait to see the chapter or chapters between now and the actual confession of them both freaking out and stuff.

Actually, it is what you think," reminds me of Katanagatari (best revenge-themed anime, btw), where in the beginning FL says as the third of her four conditions, "I want you to take care of yourself. But don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this because I like you." And then her fourth condition is, "I want you to take care of yourself. This is because I like you." Or Nino in 5toubun where MC didn't hear her confession because of the wind, so she said it again.

Moments like that make me appreciate the characters so much more.

Haven't read that one in... 150 chapters or so. Since it hasn't ended yet, I don't expect any real change, like most long-going romances. Are there still people in the comments there who go, "I hate this crap; I'm dropping it!" "See you next chapter!" ?

I swear to god if the classroom setup is another fake-out... Just do it already. The stupidest romance trope in existence is moonlighting syndrome/shipping bed death/whatever you want to call it where the fear is that putting 2 characters with romantic tension together will ruin the audience's reason for following. If you've written interesting characters then making them a collective you more story opportunities, not fewer.
