It's amazing.
From being invisible for a long time, now he has friends that actually can find him and encourage him.

I found this to be a comfortable chapter. And I mean, it's not like missing out on some time skip chapter or brief post-confession bits is going to change anything if it's ending anyway. We all know pretty much how it's going to play out.

Knowing that the series is ending has kind of sucked the joy out of the last few updates, on top of them being unnecessarily stretched out.

I'm sure I'll be fine with them in the future when I reread them, but it's really not the way I wanted things to end.

Look what happened betwee Mob and Tsubomi lol. Don't jinx it. It was so brutal. Poor dude has been working up his courage and got rejected. I feel like this will end well,it must end well lol or my heart won't take it well
A wild spoiler for a completely unrelated manga appears!

I feel you. I can smell the timeskip already lol. When they confess the story is over or the story gets dull like Komi-san for example.

This manga has been amazing and fun, but authors place confessions either in the middle or the end of the story and then they spend the rest of the manga doing stuff that isn't appealing anymore.

Like for example Komi and Tadano become a couple around chapter 307 after a love triangle between Rumiko,Tadano-kun and Komi (which was good). Only after that Tadano-kuns old crush Kawai Rami returns for ANOTHER love triangle. WHY? That is so unnecessary and isn't appealing.

Romance manga aren't easy. The timing of confession, development and such is very important to the flow of the story.

This manga's story did it really good, but they messed it up the moment he wanted to confess. They put too much focus on the fact that he wanted to confess. It kinda felt forced.

Yeah, I totally get you, it's like when you read a manhwa, and after 11289372119 chapters of misunderstandings, pain and suffering, the last chapter is either the wedding or the confession, like, AUTHOR PLEASE SHOW ME THAT SWEET COUPLE LIFE I WAITED FOR THE PAST 10+MONTHS, :fml:.

Lol,I mean the anime has ended too with the same result. Sorry about that.

I know right lol. That is the curse of romance manga's. They go on too long for no reason lol.

It kinda sucks the excitement out of it,doesn't it?

I know right lol. We waited for these sweet moments, not for just end it when they confess. We want everything AFTER the confession and BEFORE the wedding lol. Like the actual relationship.

I also think alot of romance manga lose readers when the confession is done and the story is mid. I rather have a short manga that is satisfying, then a romance manga that keeps dragging out the story for no reason.

Agreed, I've seen more 40 page oneshots with more depth than 100+ chapters mangas that become really popular. Kinda sad but we read anyways :kek:

I think alot has to do with the chemistry between the MCs. If the MCs have great chemistry, I don't mind reading 100 chapters lol.

However, the moment one of the two falls in love with each other, they spend at least 20 chapters at being confused about their feelings and another 20 about how to confess lol.

A secondary goal can help to keep the romance manga moving, but still lol,it's not always a success.

Like in Komi for example, Komi has another goal to make 100 friends. But they put the confession in the middle of the story and kind forget about making 100 friends. It is very confusing.

I really like the chemistry between Kubo and Shiraishi-kun. It reminds me off a blend between Komi & Tadano and Takagi-san & Nishikata.
