I can see where the story is likely going: both MC and glasses dude will gain an ayakashi form a la Kamen Rider and it is very likely glasses will become an extremist wanting to create a world where the ayakashi is the dominant species because of his waifu bug, while MC will fight for coexistence also because of his waifu bug. The government initially supports MC but only because certain people behind the scenes want to understand the ayakashization mechanism and weaponize the ayakashi for war, so they can have GRORIOUS NIPPON be number one in the world.

Also glad that green onee-san is alive.
