IDK how many adventurers are careful/send scouts but i guess they're used to risk but I feel like in a party ppl would try to be careful unless it's an asshole party that has the 'carrier' be canon fodder or so lol but MC is OP and not too cruel to just let ppl die

Reasons why I'd want to be a DM: make a boss room in the middle of a dungeon, put a completely ordinary monster in it, and watch people panic.

Then give it a deadman's switch to trigger the real boss encounter (the trick is to leave it alone and just walk through)

That just screams "TRAP" to me, enclosed room with only 1 way in/out, and suddenly they deal with the guards just fine when they struggled before, almost like the enemy wanted them to enter the room.
