Thanks for translating this! I sympathize with the mangaka, it's tough to know how to pace things. That said, I think the slower pace of the manga is truer to the novel and also a better experience overall than the Anime, which went way too fast in Season 2 and suffered for it.
Season 2 was a drop down in quality from Season 1, and was too rushed and less interesting because of it. It skipped over too much character development and slice of life stuff, and focused too much on action and drama, and didn't do them well either.
It led to an unbalanced feeling season that didn't take enough breaks between the drama and action, and didn't allow enough time to breathe between them, plus it skipped over a lot of downtime stuff which was actually more interesting than the drama / action.
