The beginning of that chapter was 2+ years ago during their entrance ceremony. They were 18 then and are both 21 now. Because of the way the extra chapters are inserted, it can be a bit confusing to keep track of it.

Now that I've reread it more slowly, you're right, my bad. Author probably should've made a bit more obvious by saying "three years ago" on top of stating their ages or something.
