It's just, other manga websites don't do this nor is April Fool's celebrated in other countries (not mine anyway). I don't mind high-effort April Fool's jokes, but the fact is most of these "jokes" are low-effort and/or have been done countless times before. 🤷‍♂️

Other manga sites aren't touted to the same standard as MangaDex(which doesn't actually deserve such praise with their holes),so it actually does things that people like.

April Fool's Day is worldwide time to be fun,it's not some holiday that is celebrated like Christmas or a nations' founding,it's merely a time to have some tomfoolery.

Low-effort and done before doesn't mean it's not funny,and quite a few of these have effort placed behind them.

It's a single day in our current world filled with all kinds of crap(oh look,tariffs on 49 countries,and wars!)where it's fully expected by anyone with a half-functioning brain rotted on Internet and real life culture to understand what it means to just enjoy oneselve.
