The way I see it, this series in the later parts (like currently) isn't about getting stronger but rather maintain peace in the world by not doing something that'll destroy it (sort of like a stand still between powerhouses and making sure the others dont overstep the boundaries, which would realistically happen)

Yes, the stakes go higher than that. This arc is nothing in comparison of the 2 last arcs.

I don't know what this arc even is... the UFO arc?? I can't help but feel a little bored since our FL is powerful but also not strong enough to make much of an impact in comparison to the other characters. Just feels like I'm aimlessly reading now, not reading a story...

Yeah, I'm seriously starting to doubt the part about someone else building it merely based on his plans. I feel like he was integrally involved in the project. And he most certainly has the means to stop it quickly. He wouldn't allow someone else to use ©Potimas designs to attack the elves successfully, that would be beyond reckless and stupid.

He didn't build or was involved in building the G-Fleet

At that time Pothimas was running underground and build several weapons designs that he knew were not worthy building 'cuz their cost/efficiency was too low and never expected someone to build them after some research.
Their purpose was just to be sold for funds, information or bribery.

It never went through his head that some country would build them as a last efford. Also, what he said about Kuro was correct.
G-Weapons were made as an anti-dragon defense 'cuz MA Energy was the only thing that could actually hurt TRUE DRAGONS like Kuro, and were designed to go Kamikaze after suffering enough damage.
The manga just skipped the part were they said that GMA-Bombs absorbs MA Energy indefinitely until they exploded. That's why Pothimas said that the best case scenario would be no explotion at all (I.E. The bomb was never activated and didn't aborsb energy).
In the context of that time, those bombs would never have enough time to absorbs enough energy to blow a whole continent.

I forgot this existed, then I started reading it again to catch up with it.
Reading from chapter 1 again up until this I gotta say: This fell off HARD.
The plot goes from cool little strategies to defeat stronger foes and a slow crawl evolution system in a generic af RPG system to dogfights between UFOs and Dragons. And that's not the problem, the problem is that the story is trying to tell me that this shit is supposed to be serious.
I will never get invested in whatever the fuck is going on if this shit is what is going on.
It's like the first few arcs were written by someone somewhat competent, and then they left their computer on and their 15 year old cousin who really likes whatever shitty japanese MMORPG is famous right now took the reins and finished the manuscript.
