Well, yes. For most people the purpose of online communication to compete for social status. It’s social volleyball where you spike the ball hardest at the weakest player. The easiest way to prove you're better than other people is to act smarter than them or dunk on them. This gets especially easy when someone lacks mastery over communication, such as ESL posters, because it's easier to make them look bad by mocking their word choice and lack of clarity instead of engaging with the substance of their argument. It becomes a trivially easy "win," and the best feeling in the world is winning. If you see an easy win, you take it. Effective communication of ideas and debate with nuance feels much worse than an easy win where you make yourself look good and the people who disagree with you look stupid.

For anyone who wants to dunk on me for doing exactly the behavior I'm describing in my post and calling me a hypocrite for it, look carefully and you'll never see that I describe myself as separate from that "most people" and congratulations for missing the meta-joke in my post.

She literally teleported her enemy to the fucking stratosphere this chapter??? No foreshadowing, no training, mo anything. The author just put an arbitrary limit on her of "unlocking a portion of her power" Just fucking say "yeah she unlocked everything. She didn't even theorycraft it, she just did it

Mate, she already had her teleportation unlocked. Her applying it to another thing hasn't been ruled out since "Teleportation" means "bending space". Whether you bend space around yourself or somewhere in the vicinity, space is still getting bent the same way. It'd be different if she could suddenly bend space across the entire world and get the Elf King to appear in the middle of a volcano on Earth, but none of that is applying here.

I don't think it was a sin skill, it was some exclusive skill that she had because she was their teacher. Gave her some kind of authority over them and information on how they'll die. (I'm exchange for not being able to tell them about the info she gets from the skill)

Yeah thats my point man, she now has these godly abilities that she can "unlock" freely now. Again, whats stopping the author to say "yeah she can warp reality even more now lol, she unlocked it beacuse shes a badass god now". This is like shigaraki problem again. "oh, yeah I actually have absorbed a quirk like 5 months ago that can specifically counter your quirk, sorry man". Or the heian era sukuna problem. Theres no limitation now and the author can lazily let her unlock abilities instead of being bound by the limitation of the system. The system was a really cool way of limiting her, now shes just another isekai power fantasy character.

Except we know what affinities Kumoko has and that she will only learn the real workings of the skills and magic she was good at and had affinity with. So threads, dark magic, space magic and things like that. But she wouldn't be able to cast a fireball or use ice magic. She was freer in the system because she could learn all kinds of shit even if she had no affinity at all for it. Now without the training wheels that was the system she got an easy time with the skills she had infinity, basically just gotta mimic those, but to take those further she has to practice a lot.

Spoiler: Some spoiler stuff

Let's take one of her favourite skills as an example, Appraisal. She is never getting it back, ever. She creates a rough replacement for it but all it does is letting her now how much mana/energy has someone has, not stats or skills. Which gives her a rough estimation of someone's level and roughly how strong someone is. But if she is looking at a spell caster then she won't know whether they are a healer or damage dealer. And she has to ask someone, normally Sophia, to appraise someone to get actual details like skills, titles and so on

Both situations are very different.
Sophia has Envy which only turns off an enemy skill until the debuff runs out.

Sensei is the Rule of Charity (a Heaven Virtue) but she used the "Presentation", this skill allows you to completely delete skills you have to send them to the Godddes.
Sensei used her ruler authority to activate Presentation on both Hugo and herself.

Bro really is Radahn. Thought this last chapter, what with the huge double machetes and ground explosions, and now he (involuntarily) did the meteor thing. Now all he needs is for a femboy to climb on his back.

Wrath's a weird fella.
He's a Berserk Class that for some reason put points into artificer.

I'm glad she's getting some strength back, of course, but most of all I'm glad she's getting better at imposing her will. She does have a habit of letting herself be dragged around, especially since she lost her skills, so I'm happy.

Tbh, this is one of the few times I prefer the Webnovel version over the Light novel version (that the manga follows.)

In the web novel, there is more time passed before they had this confrontation with Wrath. Kumoko got her full power back, and Sophia turned teen, more rebellious than ever. And Kumo-chan left all the fight to the vampling.

Envy blocks the victim to use a specific spell.
Oka used her Ruler skill in a way that she's not supposed to and nearly died because of that.
