They don't know what Potimas is really up to, since he keep them away from 'obviously bad' operations like helping the demon coup or the Sofia kidnapping.

Sensei was born as an elf and she's just trying to look out for her students by finding and checking on their situation with her unique skill.
Potimas saw her as easy radar for reincarnators.

And I think 2 more are 'technically' on the elves side, but more like they were saved by the elves in the past and they're just normal adventurers otherwise?

Typically the only reason to be on the elves' side is because of a scheme by the elves. They are masters of backstabbing, but for an act to be called backstabbing, you first need to be tricked into joining their side or allow them to join your side. After that, they will betray you when the time is the most inconvenient for you.

The elves had to leave Demon Territory by foot, which would force them to pass through a human settlement where they indiscriminately attack anyone who comes from there, and those 2 reincarnators are young children there. Shiraori and Ariel makes arrangements with Dustin, so that Merazophis will kill everyone there besides the two. They’ll leave and end up at the nearest settlement with a church, where they'll be raised and eventually become adventurers.

Nah. We’ve still got a ways to go before then…though maybe not

technically, the next volume of the light novel should be focused on an entire entirely different main character and the one after that should be from the point of view of a dozen different characters, but the manga has largely skipped other character POV’s so we might get pretty close to the anime pretty soon
