This manga moves so fucking fast. I love that his main demon lady just slaughters people if they’re even a tiny bit antagonistic though, I hate enemies having plot armour

The storytelling is really a mess. And I don't understand why he doesn't keep a barrier up while he sleeps, at least a detection barrier over his room would be worth a few seconds.

im need you to be specific in what chapter....because i only see 2 specific moments that you might be referring to....the first is towards the beginning...as for that...those were literally just hired guns...like in most series....show your superiority and they will flee...and probably advance a plot later on by snitching thier failure to thier employer. The second scenario...is with that bald mage...and tbh...he didnt even have a chance to actually do anything, his dragon friend literally brutalized that baldie..so there was literally nothing for him to do...especially since her next words after she brutalized him were "should i eat him?" Which pretty much is a death sentence if she follows through with eating him.

aight so yeah, the dragon pretty much gave up and decided to ally with him when she realized it was futile...and he pretty much admitted that he spared her because he was tired of being alone...as for the demon servant...the dragon girl basically intervened before it could get to serious, they only actually fought because the dragon girl wanted to show off the MCs power to prove why the servant should ally with him. And the three mercenaries pretty much ran with their tail between their legs...and he even said he can only defend...any damage he can do to his opponent is reliant on them attacking him first which would allow him to repel thier attacks...if they dont attack him...he wont be able to hurt them. Unless they start giving the MC new ways to use barriers in an offensive maneuvers...you probably wont see him kill all that often.

So, he continuously let's go of the ppl that direct killing intent towards him, but an unarmed merchant doing absolutely nothing illegal gets sliced in two without batting a lash...😵💫? Well, shit... what was I expecting? There's been at least one nonsensical/ridiculous/illogical thing per chapter so far, might as well keep it uniform throughout😅.
On a better note, I thought he'd try to make some "barrier swords" as well. As long as it had a cutting edge (simply thinning one side to the maximum would work for that), the second it made a slice into something, with just the forward momentum of the swing and the barrier acting like a barrier, whatever was sliced would continue to separate from the barriers basic traits. That'd be one hell of a sword, if ya think about it😅: an opponent's swing would reflect back to them; just making the tiniest of slices the barrier would "barrier" and do the rest of the separating naturally during your swing's follow through (it'd be like cutting air, absolutely zero resistance); it would have absolute durability and it'd be completely maintenance free (ntm, bonus - it's basically cheap af and quickly produced)😳!
