Unless Shield guy can cancel those shields, they will almost certainly be stolen and used against them at some point. Also why does this guy not have a barrier around his room at the very least? He seems to be able to attach whatever effects he wants to barriers and it costs almost nothing to maintain them. If I'm him I have a barrier on me when I'm sleep for sure if not at all times. There's really no reason not to with the near non-existent downsides showcased so far.

They mentioned it forming a connection, it sounds like it just lets people hold and move them, but he has to one make a barrier to attach to it, and two he is still the source of its power.
