You know, I can kind of understand her high suspicion better now. Hatching and raising a dragon yourself, you're basically that kid's parent, and any good-natured parent would go ballistic seeing someone harm their child like that. That bastard was lucky she was only a child back then to beat him up like that, he'd likely be dead if he faced her now, and his death would be highly justified.

Her drastically altered perspective on dragon masters is justified, but that unfortunately also turned her into the helicopter parent that won't even go at least 10 feet above ground looking after her dragon. I can understand being protective of him after all the shit he went through, but just like birds leaving the nest, she needed to let him spread his wings at his own pace, and support him however best she could.

I'm sure she'll still be a pain-in-the-ass violent tsundere to MC at times, but her character has become slightly more tolerable to me now.

And it's even worse than the narration says, because while we're told that Kuusuke was strung up in chains and whipped and deprived of food, which is already horrendous enough, we're also shown that he was straight up fucking impaled with stakes in several places.

For someone who admired dragon masters to see them capable of that, yeah, it's no wonder she treats them all like the absolute scum of the earth.
