@Archomp But there is truth in what she said. They are kunoichi and in a battle, men are bigger, stronger and sturdier. If they are careless and underestimate them, they would be captured or killed. There are men that will raped a woman if they had a chance, not all men are like that but it is best to be careful.

It's probably some sort of rule for them like one of their top kunoichi ends up eloping with some dude probably one of their high ranking officers thats probably the incident they are talking about.
