I can't get past the fact that this kid is supposed to be 9 years old yet they have him talking and thinking the way a late teenager would. I appreciate the author reminding us his 9 all the time or else if forget with the way he behaves.

Honestly I find the princess boring. I prefer the older sister for him, they much better vibe, plus they can geek out about sorcery together.
