makes no sense
Alright let me put in a way that you can understand. A gloomy person might not like being touched by a person of the opposite gender while they're unaware. Japanese politeness is all about trying to not tread grounds on another's personal space. Connect the dots between these two.

I get the cultural aspect. It feels like he's just trying to shield himself because he doesn't want to take responsibility and deal with her reaction, if it's really all that bad. She may not like it, but it happened so lying makes it omega weird. People confuse being nice with being good all the time and it's not a cultural thing. Bro got no spine, that's it.

I got your point, but this is one of those cases where it's up to an individual's interpretation. It's something that asians just kinda do without thinking, atleast from where I came from. I know people that are guilty of it, me included.

Also, if you get hit hard enough in the head to be knocked unconscious, you need to go to the hospital immediately, because you might have a concussion, or worse. It's weird how they go to the hospital for silly things like catching a cold, but not when it might actually be a serious issue.

It's just a comics thing. Though I have written about the same thing in the past, so I won't criticise you for pointing it out. In comics drawn even before we were born, it was already extremely commonplace to render people unconscious by hitting them in the back of the head with a blackjack. That was just a couple of hours of lights out, then the person would always wake up perfectly fine. It's the same kind of thing here.

My point exactly. You wouldn't get it because AT THE VERY LEAST, you are not down in the introvert scale. I guess introvert isn't really the name for this phenomenon? I'm sure there was a specific name for this shit, but I do not remember.

Anyway, for them, EVERYTHING regarding opening up to someone or just plain being honest with them is hard. That's just how they feel. As they grow up and interact with people, some may grow past being embarrassed, some may still be embarrassed. It depends on their own effort and the support of the people around them.

If you don't get it, cool. Good for you for not having to experience this awful aspect of life where your shitty actions and words would hurt the people you love just because your ass couldn't be honest with yourself. I already went past that aspect of myself, but I still remember how hard it was for me to open up and be honest with people (sometimes I went back to my old ways when I'm stressed, but I try my best not to).

That kinda stuff is also partially why the tsundere trope exists. The trope just exaggerate the reaction for comedic effect.
I say this as an introvert myself: he actually made me cringe hard with the pointless lie, there's absolutely nothing wrong with carrying a classmate to the nurse's office after they pass out

He had literally zero reason to lie about that, this isn't an introvert problem, this is that virgin mentality that he got going on in his head

The shit that makes me an introvert is simply me enjoying peace and quiet time alone over socializing with people, I can't keep conversations going for too long or I'll get mentally exhausted from it, plus there's also the occasional dumbasses that I would encounter which I don't wanna have to interact/deal with, I hate people like that

Thats not being an introvert, Ren is just being a massive weirdo

Every single woman around MC has... Very distinctive features... ahem
I keep thinking that there's too many female characters, dude needs some guy friends. Why so many manga have a ton of female characters even when it's definitely not a harem? Smh.
