The comment section for this manga often annoys me like few others. Like... Sasaki grew up without any friends. Up until meeting the MC the only person she was able to spend time with was her brother. So even if he weren't her brother, it's still a case of "my only [friend/companion] is spending time with someone else." So yeah, she gets jealous and possessive. Because up until meeting the MC, if she didn't have her brother to hang out with, she has no-one.

And then this further establishes why she's so fussy at times; if someone important to you starts changing, of course that's going to bother you. Friend, partner, sibling, etc. Because not only do we tend to fear the unknown, but if someone we care about starts to change then the rapport and relationship we had with that person will invariably change in some way too. Worst case, they can become someone we don't even recognize, and/or change so much they don't want anything to do with us any longer. And just the thought of that can be hella scary. Because humans are naturally social creatures who value their social connections, and the more familiar and comforting those connections, the more stressful it becomes when they change.

But nope: has to be incest. Because god forbid there be any manner of depth or nuance in writing...
