this is even more convoluted than before. casting out a loyal daughter to tradition, knowingly sacrificing her to a rebellion and then admitting not caring for that stuff in case of other family members.
the whole riot over the succession was just staged by the king for no reason at this point...or it was a ploy to depict the older more capable sister as evil for the foundation of his favorite who is less capable in government affairs.
